Preparation

Wash your hands thoroughly and sterilize the feeding bottle, teat, and ring in boiling water for 10 minutes.2.
Boil fresh drinking water and cool to approx. 40°-50° C* / 104-122° F*.3.
Add the desired amount of boiled water (see Table) to bottle.4.
Measure the recommended amount of formula powder (see Table). Level the baby formula on the measuring spoon and add the powder to the water.5.
Close the bottle, and shake thoroughly.6.
Cool to a drinking temperature of approx. 37° C / 98.6° F. Remember to test the temperature before feeding your baby.In order not to damage the natural lactic acid cultures (lactobacilli), please do not prepare the formula with water that's too hot.
Important: inappropriate preparation or use of this formula can harm your child's health. Carefully follow the feeding instructions.
Use a carefully washed and sterilized bottle, teat, and ring. Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
For hygiene reasons, always prepare feeds freshly and do not prepare them in advance. Use made-up feeds immediately, and discard anything leftover at the end of the feed. The bottle is to be consumed within half an hour.
Do not heat the formula in a microwave. Hot spots may occur, which can cause scalding.
Do not reuse leftovers, and check the expiration date on the side of the can. After opening the can, HiPP 2 formula organic baby milk powder can be stored for 3 weeks in a dry place at room temperature.
Important Notes
Exclusive breastfeeding in the first 6 months is ideal for your baby. As with any follow-on baby formula, HiPP follow-on milk 2 Bio Combiotik® should not be used as a breast milk substitute in the first 6 months but should only be used after 6 months as part of a mixed diet. Your baby's individual growth and developmental needs may require introducing supplemental foods as part of a mixed diet into your baby's diet at an earlier stage. Please consult your pediatrician for guidance about when to begin weaning.
Like breast milk, all infant formula contains carbohydrates. They are an important part of your baby's diet. Frequent or prolonged teeth contact with carbohydrate-containing liquids can lead to tooth decay and thus to health problems.
