    Frequently Asked Questions

How does HiPP Comfort formula work?
HiPP Comfort is a specially crafted baby formula that utilizes organic skim milk broken down through a process called hydrolyzation. This process transforms the milk into its simplest molecular form, removing complex milk casein proteins. As a result, it leaves behind a smaller and more easily digestible hydrolyzed whey protein. This formula has reduced lactose, making it an excellent choice for babies with sensitive tummies.

When should I start feeding my baby HiPP Comfort formula?
HiPP Comfort formula is suitable for babies from birth to one year of age.

Can I use HiPP Comfort formula as a sole source of nutrition for my baby?
Yes, HiPP Comfort formula is a complete source of nutrition from birth to 6 months that acts as a substitute for or complement to breast milk, and beginning at 6 months, this formula should be fed alongside a diet of solids.

    Is HiPP Comfort formula organic?
Due to the presence of hydrolyzed proteins, the European Commission's organic regulations do not allow products, such as HiPP Comfort formula, to be advertised as organic. However, it's important to note that while this formula does not contain organic ingredients, HiPP ensures strict control over all the other components used in their products, and they guarantee that all their products are GMO-free. With HiPP Comfort formula, you can rest assured that your baby is receiving all the necessary nutrients in a formula that meets HiPP's high safety and quality standards.

Can I switch between regular formula and HiPP Comfort formula?
Yes, as long as it is recommended and monitored by your pediatrician. Always rely on the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Can HiPP Comfort formula cause constipation?
Generally, HiPP Comfort formula helps with constipation, because it is hydrolyzed and it has less lactose, making it is easier to digest.

    Does HiPP Comfort have iron?
Yes, HiPP Comfort formula has 0.6 mg of iron per 100 ml of prepared formula.

    Is HiPP Comfort formula lactose-free?

How should I prepare HiPP Comfort formula?
To prepare HiPP Comfort formula for your baby, follow these essential steps for proper hygiene and safety! First, boil fresh drinking water and allow it to cool down to approximately 40°- 50° C (104°- 122° F). Next, refer to the feeding table and add the recommended amount of water to the baby bottle. Then, using a measuring spoon, carefully scoop the formula powder and level it before adding the specified amount to the bottle. Once the formula is in, securely close the bottle and shake it thoroughly to ensure thorough mixing. Afterward, cool the prepared formula to a suitable drinking temperature of approximately 37° C (98.6° F). It's recommended to use a thermometer to check the temperature before feeding it to your baby or to check the temperature using the inside of your wrist, making sure it is lukewarm, not hot.

How many ounces of prepared HiPP Comfort formula does one box make?
One box of HiPP Comfort makes approximately 164.6 fluid ounces of prepared formula, which would be equivalent to 33 bottles of 5 ounces.

What is the storage life of HiPP Comfort formula?
When the container of HiPP Comfort formula remains unopened and stored in a cool, dry place, it can be used up until the expiration date printed on the package. Once you open the formula container, it should be used within 3 weeks.

How long does the prepared formula last?
Ideally, you should be preparing a bottle just before you feed. Storing or freezing formula is not recommended. The prepared formula is good for 2 hours at room temperature if unused, and 1 hour once feeding has begun. Make sure to throw away any remaining formula after feeding.
