Discover the HiPP Goat Milk Formula Difference

With decades of success in crafting premium infant nutrition products, HiPP has pioneered an organic goat milk-based formula that meets the needs of babies who may not thrive on conventional cow’s milk.

HiPP goat milk formula Stage 2 has an extra gentle formulation of easily digestible A2 goat milk proteins and prebiotics sourced from lactose for a healthy and happy tummy.

Research affirms that both goat's milk formula and cow’s milk formula safely support infant growth and development, but certain little ones may better tolerate goat milk. That makes HiPP Goat milk formula Stage 2 a great choice for sensitive babies!

Please note: Goat milk is not suitable for babies with lactose intolerance or cow’s milk protein allergy.

Unique Features of HiPP Goat Milk Formula Stage 2

    1. Gentle skimmed goat milk 🐐 -  Studies show that goat milk proteins create small and soft curds in the belly that are more digestible than cow’s milk. This often results in fewer upsets, especially for babies prone to frequent spit up or gastroesophageal reflux (GER).
    2. Additional nutrients 💓 - To satisfy your explorative baby’s increased energy needs, HiPP goat Stage 2 contains slightly elevated levels of fats, proteins, and carbs as well as calcium, magnesium, vitamin C and iron.
    3. Minimal lactose-only blend 🥛- Complementary carbs, such as starch or maltodextrin, are omitted from HiPP goat formula Stage 2 to further enhance its gentle qualities.
    4. Boosted Iron🩸- Iron is essential for blood formation and neurological development, and experts agree that infants need increased amounts of it starting around 6 months. Stage 2 contains 50% more iron than Stage PRE, providing your baby with 1.0mg/ per 100ml.

HiPP goat milk Stage 2 organic follow-on formula is suitable from 6 months of age as a substitute for or complement to breastfeeding. This formula is intended to be used as part of a mixed diet of bottle feeds and weaning.

Once your child transitions from HiPP Goat Milk Formula Stage PRE, they can enjoy the energy-supporting Stage 2.

    Important Notes

Breastfeeding is best for your baby. Please talk to your pediatrician before introducing infant formula to your baby. Like any follow-on formula, HiPP Goat should not be used as a breast-milk substitute during the first six months but only after six months as part of a mixed diet. The individual growth and developmental needs of your baby may make it necessary to use a follow-on formula as part of a mixed diet at an earlier stage. Please consult your pediatrician for guidance about when to begin weaning.

Like breast milk, all formula for infants contains carbohydrates. They are an important part of your baby's diet. Frequent or prolonged contact of the teeth with carbohydrate-containing liquids can lead to tooth decay, which can affect health. Do not let your do not allow your child to suck on the bottle all the time, and let them drink from a cup as early as possible.

Contains proteins similar to cow's milk and, therefore, must not be used if an allergy to cow's milk protein already exists or if there is a suspicion of such an allergy.

The expiration date is indicated on each box/label.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of goat milk formula over cow milk formula?
In a nutshell, the benefits of goat milk formula over cow milk formula are as follows: Goat milk formula is closer in composition to human milk than cow milk, making it easier for some babies to digest. It contains smaller fat globules and different proteins, which may be gentler on sensitive stomachs. Also, milk typically contains two main types of beta-casein protein, which are A1 and A2 beta-casein. Goat milk is naturally A2 or, in other words, A1 beta-casein free. Unlike cow's milk, which is typically A1, A2 goat’s milk is better suited to sensitive tummies because it is digested more quickly, easily, and completely by babies.

When should I start feeding my baby HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula?
HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula is suitable for babies from 6 months to 12 months.

Can I use HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula as a sole source of nutrition for my baby?

Is HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula organic?

Is HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula lactose-free?
No, HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula does contain lactose. It is not suitable for babies with lactose intolerance.

Can goat formula cause an allergy?
Goat milk formula is not suitable if your child has a medically diagnosed cow's milk allergy. There are differences between the protein composition of goat milk and cow's milk, but an allergic reaction can still occur with goat milk. Fortunately, a confirmed cow's milk protein allergy occurs in only 3% of infants. A much larger group experiences a sensitivity reaction when drinking cow's milk. In these cases, goat milk can indeed be a good alternative. Because every child is different, we recommend that you consult your pediatrician regarding your child's symptoms and discuss options for goat milk formula.

Can HiPP Goat Stage 2 cause constipation?
HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula can help with constipation because goat milk is generally easier to digest, however, some babies can still suffer from constipation even with goat formula. It ultimately depends on each baby's individual digestive system.

What should I do if my baby doesn't tolerate goat milk formula well?
Stop using HiPP Goat Stage 2 formula immediately and consult with your pediatrician.

To prepare the formula for your baby, follow these essential steps for proper hygiene and safety! Once the formula is in, securely close the bottle and shake it thoroughly to ensure proper mixing. Afterward, cool the prepared formula to a suitable drinking temperature of approximately 37° C (98.6° F). It's recommended to use a thermometer to check the temperature before serving it to your baby or to check the temperature using the inside of your wrist, making sure it is lukewarm, not hot.
