Discover the Holle Goat Milk Difference

Holle goat milk Stage 1 is thoughtfully made with gentle ingredients produced in the highest organic and biodynamic quality to help promote better digestion in sensitive little ones.

The delicate combination of A2 milk proteins, medium-chain fatty acids, and smaller milk fat globules are qualities that infant nutrition experts contend make goat’s milk closer in composition to breast milk than cow’s milk.

These attributes ensure that the milk is easily digested, making Holle goat milk formula Stage 1 a soothing alternative for infants who may experience discomfort from cow’s milk.

Please note: Goat milk is not suitable for babies with lactose intolerance or cow’s milk protein allergy.

Sip & Share: Feedback About Holle Goat Milk Formula Stage 1

According to customer feedback, Holle’s mild recipe has been a lifesaver for babies who are sensitive to cow’s milk.

"Great formula, free from all the awful ingredients. My daughter could not tolerate cow's milk; it made her extremely colicky. It’s a blessing to have access to high-quality goat milk formula."
    - Brooke S. Holle goat milk Stage 1 customer

Unique Features of Holle Goat Milk Stage 1

    1. Suited for sensitive babies 👶 - There are 2 main milk proteins, A1 and A2; Holle Goat is naturally A2. A1 milk, which many cow’s milk formulas contain, is associated with bloating, gas, and hard stools. Evidence suggests that A2 milk is easier to digest and less inflammatory.
    2. The only Demeter goat formula🥇 - Demeter is a private organization with the world’s strictest organic standards. Holle produces the only goat-based baby milk that meets these stringent requirements, promising the best quality for your baby.
    3. Without fish or palm oil ❌ - Holle goat Stage 1 is made with whole milk, naturally high in palmitic acid, avoiding the need for palm oil. Studies show this omission helps improve babies’ stool consistency. Holle also uses DHA from algae, an eco-friendly and tastier alternative to fish oil.
    4. 100% lactose-based 💯 - Lactose helps babies retain calcium and has positive effects on gut bacteria development. Holle goat milk formula Stage 1 only contains lactose, and it has no starch or maltodextrin.

Holle goat milk formula Stage 1 is an organic infant formula that offers a complete source of nutrition from 0 to 6 months. This formula may be used to complement or replace breastfeeding.

As an alternative to Stage 1, Holle Goat PRE also provides newborns with gentle nourishment. Later, when your baby starts eating solid foods, Holle Goat Stage 2 and Holle Goat Stage 3 are great options. We offer Holle Goat Stage 4 as part of your child’s diet during toddlerhood.

We encourage you to check out our other Holle goat milk formulas if you think there may be options better suited for your baby. You can also try out our formula finder quiz for personalized product recommendations. Don’t hesitate to contact our customer care team if you’d like assistance.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of goat milk formula over cow milk formula?
In a nutshell, the benefits of goat milk formula over cow milk formula are as follows: Goat milk formula is closer in composition to human milk than cow milk, making it easier for some babies to digest. It contains smaller fat globules and different proteins, which may be gentler on sensitive stomachs. Also, milk typically contains two main types of beta-casein protein, which are A1 and A2 beta-casein. Goat milk is naturally A2 or, in other words, A1 beta-casein free. Unlike cow's milk, which is typically A1, A2 goat’s milk is better suited to sensitive tummies because it is digested more quickly, easily, and completely by babies.

When should I start feeding my baby Holle Goat Stage 1 formula?
Holle Goat Stage 1 formula is suitable from birth up until the 6th month.

Can I use Holle Goat Stage 1 formula as a sole source of nutrition for my baby?
Yes, Holle Goat Stage 1 formula is a complete source of nutrition from birth to 6 months that acts as a substitute for or complement to breast milk.

Is Holle Goat Stage 1 formula organic?
Yes, in addition to being certified organic by the European Commission, the milk in Holle's Stage 1 goat's milk formula is produced at Demeter-certified biodynamic farms, which is the highest organic certification in Europe!

Can I switch between regular formula and goat milk formula?
Yes, as long as it is recommended and monitored by your pediatrician. Always rely on the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Does Holle Goat Stage 1 have iron?
Yes, Holle Goat Stage 1 formula contains 0.67 mg per every 100 ml of prepared formula.

Does Holle Goat Stage 1 contain palm oil?
No, Holle Goat Stage 1 formula is free from palm oil.

Is Holle Goat Stage 1 formula lactose-free?
No, Holle Goat Stage 1 formula does contain lactose. It is not suitable for babies with lactose intolerance.

Can goat formula cause an allergy?
Goat milk formula is not suitable if your child has a medically diagnosed cow's milk allergy. There are differences between the protein composition of goat milk and cow's milk, but an allergic reaction can still occur with goat milk. Fortunately, a confirmed cow's milk protein allergy occurs in only 3% of infants. A much larger group experiences a sensitivity reaction when drinking cow's milk. In these cases, goat milk can indeed be a good alternative. Because every child is different, we recommend that you consult your pediatrician regarding your child's symptoms and discuss options for goat milk formula.

Can Holle Goat Stage 1 cause constipation?
Holle Goat Stage 1 formula can help with constipation because goat milk is generally easier to digest, however, some babies can still suffer from constipation even with goat formula. It ultimately depends on each baby's individual digestive system.

What should I do if my baby doesn't tolerate goat milk formula well?
Stop using Holle Goat Stage 1 formula immediately and consult your pediatrician.

Where can I buy Holle Goat Stage 1 formula?
You can buy Holle formula on the Organic's Best online store.

How should I prepare Holle Goat Stage 1 formula?
To prepare Holle Goat Stage 1 formula, begin by boiling fresh drinking water and allowing it to cool down to approximately 40°-50° C (104°-122° F). Next, add half of the required water to the baby bottle. Using a measuring spoon, carefully scoop the formula powder and level it on the spoon, then add the advised amount of formula to the bottle. Afterward, securely close the bottle and shake it thoroughly to ensure proper mixing. Continuing the process, add the remaining water to the bottle and shake it thoroughly once again to achieve a consistent mixture. Afterward, cool the formula to a suitable drinking temperature of approximately 37° C (98.6° F). It's essential to check the temperature using a thermometer or the inside of your wrist to guarantee that it's safe for your baby to consume.

How many ounces of prepared Holle Goat Stage 1 formula does one box make?

The prepared formula is good for 2 hours at room temperature if unused and 1 hour once feeding has begun. Make sure to throw away any remaining formula after feeding. If absolutely necessary, untouched formula can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
