Discover the Kendamil Classic Formula Difference

In the lush fields of the English Lake District, you’ll find happy grass-fed cows making milk for Kendamil. With a promise of being "closer to nature, kinder by miles," Kendamil formula Stage 1 offers top-quality nourishment for newborns.

The full-cream milk in Kendamil Stage 1 sets it apart from other formulas. Whole milk fat offers several nutritional advantages, like eliminating the need for palm oil and allowing for reduced vegetable oils. It also offers a more rich and creamy consistency for little ones.

For gentle nourishment, Kendamil First Infant Milk has a unique formulation with prebiotics, which studies show help facilitate the growth of beneficial gut bacteria to support babies’ immunity and digestion.

Sip & Share: Feedback About Kendamil First Infant Milk

"This formula has changed my baby! It agrees with her belly and unlike other ones we’ve tried, doesn't make her colicky or give her any digestive issues at all. Absolutely love it and will continue buying!"
Cindy L. Kendamil formula Stage 1 customer

Unique Features of Kendamil Formula Stage 1

    1. Similarities to breast milk 🤱- Whole milk contains components found in breast milk, including milk fat globule membrane (MFGM)—special carbs linked to enhanced neurodevelopment and reduced frequency of diarrhea, illness, and infection. It also has human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), which studies show support immunity.
    2. Abundant fatty acids 💞 - The formula is enriched with 4 kinds of essential fatty acids (plant-based DHA, ALA, LA, and ARA). Adequate intake of these nutrients during early life supports healthy growth and cognitive performance in childhood.
    3. Simple lactose-only base 🍼 - By using only lactose in lieu of complementary carbohydrates like starch or maltodextrin, Kendamil ensures that their formula is gentle on tiny tummies and promotes smoother digestion.
    4. Sustainable vegetable oils 🌿- Whole milk formulas can be made without palm oil since they naturally contain palmitic acid. Instead of palm oil, Kendamil Stage 1 features a nourishing blend of sunflower, coconut, and rapeseed oil.

Kendamil formula Stage 1 is suitable from birth up until 6 months of age as a complete source of nutrition. It may be used if not breastfeeding or to complement breast milk.

Kendamil Stage 1 is best for babies in early infancy with Kendamil Stage 2 available as the next step. As your little one’s diet continues to evolve, you can introduce Kendamil Stage 3 at the one-year mark.

How many bottles does a can of Kendamil Classic stage 1 formula make?

Wash hands, then sterilise your feeding utensils according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Fill kettle with 1 litre of freshly run tap water (do not use repeatedly boiled water). Boil and leave to cool for 30 minutes, so it remains at the temperature of at least 70℃ / 158°F. Measure the required water into a sterilised bottle.

Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of levelled scoops to the bottle. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop.

Place on a sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well to dissolve powder.

Cool to a natural body temperature. Always test the temperature of the liquid on your wrist prior to feeding your baby.

For feeding your baby, add 1 level scoop of powder to each 30 ml (1 fl oz) of water (freshly boiled and cooled). Please refer to the feeding guide shown on the can and note this table should only be used as a guide. All babies are different and may require more or less than is shown. Kendamil First Infant Milk should be fed on demand. If you need more advice, talk to your baby's healthcare provider.

Use a carefully washed and sterilized bottle, teat, and ring. Only use the scoop provided in the pack.

For hygiene reasons, always freshly prepare feeds and do not prepare in advance. Use prepared feedings immediately (within half an hour), and discard anything leftover at the end of the feed.

Do not heat feeds in a microwave; hot spots may occur, which could cause scalding, and do not re-use leftovers.

Check the expiry date on the side of the can. After opening the can, Kendamil Stage 1 can be stored for 3 weeks in a dry place at room temperature.

    Important Notes

Breastfeeding is best for your baby. Kendamil Stage 1 is a nutritionally complete infant formula made from whole cow's milk and can be used from 0 to 6 months. It is suitable for bottle feeding in combination with breastfeeding and also when breastfeeding is not taking place. Please consult your pediatrician before introducing this formula to your baby.

Like breast milk, all baby formula contains carbohydrates. They are an important part of your baby's diet. Frequent or prolonged teeth contact with carbohydrate-containing liquids can lead to tooth decay and, thus, to health problems. Do not let your child suck the bottle permanently, and change to cup-feeding as soon as possible.
