Key Ingredients in Kendamil Infant Formula

British Whole Milk
Kendamil formula is made using British whole and skimmed milk from free-roam, grass-fed cows on Red Tractor-accredited farms. Whole milk is a primary source of fat in their baby formula compared to other brands on the market who bulk up infant formulas with less nutritionally dense sources of fat, like vegetable oil. Using British whole milk results in a naturally creamy-tasting formula that babies love!
DHA and ARA Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Kendamil sources their Omega 3 (DHA) from sustainably farmed marine algae, as opposed to other formulas that contain DHA derived from animal sources. This means that they can avoid fish oil, which is an allergen found in many infant formulas.
Prebiotics
GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides) and FOS (fructo-oligosaccharides) are prebiotics that are found in Kendamil formula. Kendamil Classic stages 1 and 2 contain GOS and FOS. When to Transition Between Kendamil Formula Stages

Each stage is uniquely designed to meet the nutritional needs of your baby. Kendamil First Infant Milk (Stage 1) is suitable from birth to 6 months. Kendamil Follow-On Milk (Stage 2) is suitable for 6 months to 12 months. Finally, Kendamil Toddler Milk (stage 3) is suitable from 12 months. Each baby is different so make sure to look out for signs that your little one is ready to progress to the next stage. It is recommended that you slowly ease them into the transition. For most babies, it will take them about a week to fully transition to the new formula.

Mixing and Feeding Tips

Kendamil formula can get frothier then others due to the their unique recipe, which uses natural whole milk as the first ingredient. Kendamil formula is also free from palm oil, which means that they do not use anything derived from this ingredient including emulsifiers and foam inhibitors. If you'd like to reduce the frothiness, we recommend mixing the formula in place of shaking it.

Understanding the Kendamil Shelf Life

Kendamil formula should be stored in a cool and dry place before and after opening. The best before date can be located on the bottom of the canister. Once opened, Kendamil milk should be used within 4 weeks.

How to Prepare Kendamil Formula?

How to prepare Kendamil Classic, Organic and Goat milk formula:

Step 1: Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing all utensils.

Step 2: Boil water and let it cool to natural body temperature before adding to a sterilized bottle.

Step 3: Using the provided scoop, add the appropriate amount of formula. Always refer to the feeding chart on the canister, but as a general rule add 1 level scoop of powder to each 30 ml of water. Remember that all babies are different so some require more or less formula than others.

Step 4: Place cap onto the bottle and shake to dissolve powder. Once fully dissolved, remove cap and add sterilized nipple.

Step 5: Test the temperature of the liquid on your hand or wrist. Once this step is complete, you are ready to feed your little one!
